Summary of Job Position:

Jupiter Avionics is looking for an Electronics Assembler to join our expanding team. Reporting to the production manager, the Electronics Assembler will be involved with various stages of the company's electronics product manufacturing. The successful candidate will participate in assembling our production-line products as well as assisting in prototype assembly and component removal/replacement as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    Hand-soldering through-hole and SMT components on to electronic products according to relevant documents.
    Inspecting and aligning completed assemblies for quality and functionality.
    Masking and applying conformal coating to products.
    Performing mechanical assembly of products.
    Troubleshooting and repairing any defects or malfunctions in the assembled products.
    Following safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
    Packaging finished products in preparation for shipping.

Qualifications:

    Previous experience in electronics assembly or a related field is preferred.
    Current or previous IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 certification.
    Proficiency in using calipers or other measuring instruments to ensure accurate assembly.

    Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
    Ability to work unsupervised and within a team to achieve objectives within appropriate timescales.
    Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
    Ability to respond quickly and precisely to the manager’s requests.
    Flexible, motivated and reliable.
    Good eyesight for finely detailed tasks.

Summary of Job Position:

Jupiter Avionics is looking for a self-motivated Qualification Test Technician to join our expanding team. Reporting to the VP of Product Development, the Qualification Test Technician will play a key role in the development of the company’s new electronics products. The successful candidate will participate in the testing phases of projects.

The Qualification Test Technician helps create test requirements and procedures for new electronic products in development.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    Designing software for automated test fixtures.
    Designing and assembling test fixtures and cables.
    Writing detailed requirements and test procedure documents.
    Performing functional and environmental tests on products.
    Writing test reports.

Qualifications:

    Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technologist or equivalent diploma.
    Knowledge of analog and digital audio technologies (preferred but not required).
    Experience with MS Visual Basic programming language (preferred but not required).
    Knowledge of soldering (preferred but not required).
